Who We Are
Karnataka Renewable Energy Systems Manufacturers Association (KRESMA) established in 2014 as a not-for-profit association. We represent a diverse membership across the solar power , solar heating, Wind, Biomass, Bioafuel, waste to energy industry. The KRESMA works in conjunction with its members to achieve the right regulatory framework and incentives for Renewable sources to deliver an increasing contribution to the State electricity, heating and energy needs.
Why Join The KRESMA?
The KRESMA's objective is to grow sustainably RE's share of the Karnataka's energy mix. We undertake policy development and provide expert advice and analysis to government departments, agencies, regulators, NGOs and other stakeholders. As well as helping to shape the Association's policies, members also remain informed of key changes to both State and national policy. Further benefits include networking at our industry events and regular working group meetings, access to technical and training advice and to our online library.
Renewable Energy
Renewable energy includes resources that rely on fuel sources that restore themselves over short periods of time and do not diminish. Such fuel sources include the sun, wind, moving water, organic plant and waste material (eligible biomass), and the earth's heat (geothermal). Although the impacts are small, some renewable energy technologies have an impact on the environment. For example, large hydroelectric resources can have environmental trade-offs associated with issues such as fisheries and land use.
Solar Energy
Solar Energy includes Solar Photovoltic and Solar Thermal Power Generation Plants
Wind Energy
Wind power or wind energy is the energy extracted from wind using wind turbines to produce electrical power,
Biomass/BioFuel
Biomass fuels come from living things: wood products, dried vegetation, crop residues, and aquatic plants
Waste To Energy
Waste To Energy - derived from the carbonaceous waste of various human and natural activities
